Our client, a leader in logistics, is seeking Senior Android Engineer to participate in the development of a native mobile application in the eCommerce domain.
You will be part of a development team working on the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of a modern Android application leveraging cloud-based backend services and contemporary development practices.
This is a remote-first position for candidates based in the EU.
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will:
Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin
Participate in application design and technical architecture discussions
Implement new features and improve existing functionality
Collaborate with backend developers and other stakeholders
Perform code reviews and ensure code quality
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote inside the EU; must be able to travel freely within Europe for workshops.
Strong experience in developing Android applications using Kotlin (Java is an advantage)
Experience with Android Jetpack and modern Android development practices
Experience with SQL and data handling
Experience with logging, monitoring, or profiling tools
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Ability to work in a collaborative development environment
Strong communication skills
API management and service mesh technologies (Apigee, Envoy, Kuma, Istio)
Cloud-native development (Microsoft Azure and/or GCP)
Build management tools
