Senior Android Developer (IoT Project)

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Android Developer with 5+ years of experience in building high-quality mobile applications. 

  • Collaborate closely with the Mobile Architect and cross-functional teams (backend, QA, DevOps, UX/UI) to define app architecture and implementation details.
  • Contribute to planning, development, testing, and deployment of Android applications that integrate with IoT systems.
  • Develop modular, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern Android development standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help shape and maintain coding standards, tools, and workflows (CI/CD, Git branching strategies, code quality practices).
  • Stay up to date with emerging Android technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Kotlin – strong, hands-on experience in production environments.
  • Java – capable and confident, especially for legacy modules or hybrid apps.
  • Strong understanding of MV* (Model–View–Whatever) architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVI).
  • Solid experience with Jetpack Navigation and Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager).
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs, handling offline data, and optimizing app performance.
  • Proficiency with Git, Gradle, and Android Studio.

Good to Have: 

  • Experience with IoT or connected devices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to Clean Architecture, CI/CD pipelines, or Jetpack Compose.
  • Romanian team;
  • IoT project for a leading German customer.
