The position and your daily adventures

This is a full-time position based in our Mexico City office with a hybrid model. We will expect to see you in the office 2-3 times a week.  

What you can expect:

• Own and Design Scalable Data Models: Lead the design and implementation of data models using dbt, MageAI, and Amazon Redshift to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
• Build and Optimize Data Pipelines: Develop data pipelines using dbt and Amazon Redshift. You'll work alongside a cross-functional team (a group of individuals with diverse functional expertise and backgrounds across departments within the organization) to translate business logic into scalable data models, as highlighted in the dbt-centered analytics engineering article. 
• Ensure Data Quality and Reliability: Define and implement data quality frameworks, validation processes, and monitoring to ensure high data integrity across the platform.
• Automate Processes: Focus on process automation and infrastructure development to enhance the efficiency of processes and the data platform
• Mentor and Influence Best Practices: Support and guide business analysts, contributing to standards, code quality, and data modeling practices.

You and your assets

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or analytical field (e.g., Computational, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience with SQL
• Experience optimizing complex queries and large-scale datasets
• 3+ years of experience with the Python programming language
• 2+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer (a plus, but not required)
• Advanced English level
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear insights and influence non-technical audiences
