The Analytics Engineering team at GumGum owns the company’s reporting layer and the data pipelines that power decision-making across the business. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling trusted datasets, metrics, and analytics products that serve stakeholders across Product, Sales, Operations, and Leadership.

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, and business problem-solving. You will be responsible not only for technical execution, but also for shaping standards, improving data reliability, and enabling self-service analytics at scale. You will partner closely with Analytics, Data Engineering, and business teams to translate complex business questions into durable data solutions.

Note: GumGum fosters a flexible work environment, offering GumGummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. For this position, in-person/office collaboration is required 2 days per week, supporting a balanced approach to flexibility and team engagement.

What You'll Achieve

  • Lead the design and development of foundational data models, metrics, and reporting layers that power GumGum’s analytics ecosystem
  • Own and evolve end-to-end analytics data pipelines, from data modeling to curated datasets and dashboards
  • Build and maintain scalable workflows using Airflow, Snowflake, and related orchestration and warehousing tools
  • Develop high-impact dashboards and self-service analytics in Looker, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability
  • Contribute to data governance and discovery through tools such as Atlan (or similar metadata/catalog solutions)
  • Set best practices for SQL, data modeling, testing, and documentation within the Analytics Engineering team
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical direction of the team.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical analytics pipelines and reporting, ensuring data reliability and timely issue resolution

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering or related role
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong expertise in SQL, with experience building robust analytical data models
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses)
  • Experience orchestrating workflows with Airflow (or equivalent tools)
  • Solid experience building and maintaining dashboards and semantic layers in Looker (or similar BI tools)
  • Familiarity with data cataloging, governance, or lineage tools such as Atlan
  • Exposure to Spark or distributed data processing frameworks is a plus
  • Experience working with advertising, media, or ad-tech data is a plus
  • Experience operating in a centralized analytics engineering or reporting-ownership model is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, transformations, and automation

What We Offer

At GumGum, competitive base pay is a part of a total rewards package which also includes benefits, an emphasis on recognition, development, and wellness. The reasonable estimated base pay range for this role is from $186,000 - $ 215,000 annually.  The actual amount may be higher or lower. Individual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, work location, and labor market conditions.

The total rewards package offered also includes an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan, and depending on the role, participation in a bonus, commission, or stock incentive program.
