SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Sr. Analyst – Product Management. This position provides an opportunity to take on a role in an entrepreneurial culture and gain a broad perspective across the insurance business. As a member of the Product Development team, you will utilize analytical techniques to assist in the development and maintenance of personal insurance products. You will work closely with senior leaders on business plans and forecasts and be responsible for monitoring in-market products. You will take part in growing our product management function, expanding our current capabilities as we continue to scale for growth.

What you’d be doing:

  • Independently conduct and understand data analysis of business results.
  • Monitor, track and quantify the impact of pricing and underwriting decisions.
  • Maintain an understanding of the marketplace and its impact on SageSure products.
  • Formulate and execute potential recommendations to drive desired growth & profitability impacts based on established strategy with consideration for local regulatory nuances, and broader marketplace dynamics.
  • Work with team members to research and conduct analysis and proactively report product performance metrics.
  • Present, inform and influence recommendations to business partners based on analysis performed.
  • May function as a subject matter expert in strategic initiatives to support the goals and objectives of the broader organization; this can include functioning as a project manager leading a cross-functional business team.
  • Lead state and carrier meetings by preparing data analysis, presentations and other artifacts as necessary.
  • Recognize potential system opportunities or issues during data analysis and collaborate with technology partners as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Legal and Marketing to execute state-level or carrier-level initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or other analytics related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in an analytical or data related role preferably in the financial services industry
  • Experience with competitive analysis tools and with forecasting top line plans
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Knowledge of pricing and actuarial techniques and understanding of practices like loss development and trending
  • Ability to interpret trends and provide business leaders with insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical resources
  • Understanding of insurance products
  • Advanced Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Experience working on an insurance product management team
  • 3+ years of analytical experience
