Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting

Primary Function of the Position:

The Senor Analyst, Corporate Accounting is a highly visible position that plays a critical role in achieving our overall objective of delivering best-in-class financial reporting and building a best-in-class finance department. The Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting drives the financial reporting process and provides accounting oversight to our global finance teams.

The Company’s operations have grown significantly over the past several years, and with it, the level of complexity our accounting organization is facing. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with a wide range of the Company’s domestic and international accounting, FP&A, and tax groups to implement the infrastructure needed to effectively and efficiently scale the Company’s systems and financial reporting processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvements in our financial reporting processes to increase the effectiveness of review and oversight, drive collaboration, and improve close quality. This includes preparing the GAAP reporting package.
  • Provide guidance and monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls globally.
  • Lead in the preparation of the balance sheet/income statement variance analysis and collaborate with the finance teams.
  • Assist the Corporate Accounting Team and other accounting and finance departments in implementing strong processes, systems, and procedures to drive efficiencies and high-quality financial reporting.
  • Responsible, together with the Corporate Accounting department, to ensure that we meet our month-end/quarter-end close and deadlines.
  • Identify financial reporting risks associated with OUS operations and areas involving complex accounting and/or decentralized/complex operations and propose and execute improvements to address new risks.
  • Actively coordinate and communicate with the accounting/finance teams of the Company’s foreign subsidiaries, or outside service providers, throughout the monthly close process.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and SOX testing requests timely and accurately.
  • Comply with internal controls as well as update process documentation when needed.
  • Interface with external auditors of the foreign subsidiaries for statutory audit and other local requirements and assist with periodic internal and external audit requests.
  • Actively identify opportunities for process improvement or operational automation and execute on process improvements within existing system infrastructure.
  • Assist with other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as needed and desired (based on your personal career and development goals).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4 + years of relevant experience in accounting and/or audit
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting theory, with proven ability to interpret and document the applicability of GAAP.
  • Detail oriented, organized, motivated and able to function in a fast-paced environment, especially during quarter-end reporting periods.
  • Fundamental process knowledge (such as quote to cash, procure-to pay) and related internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week

Required Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

Preferred Experience:

  • Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred
  • CPA is preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP, and EDW is preferred
  • Previously experience in Corporate Accounting in large multi-national companies is a plus

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
