Senior Analyst, Ceded Reinsurance

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to partner with the Ceded Reinsurance team in support of SageSure’s CEO and senior executive team. The role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the continued growth of the business through involvement in reinsurance placement strategy, business development, financial planning, strategy, and partner initiatives. The Senior Analyst will work closely with each of the reinsurance brokers to prioritize their work and execute on placement deliverables. SageSure, through its carrier partners, currently places over $1.5 billion of reinsurance each year, and that number will continue to grow. Candidates for this high-exposure role should have very strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and be willing to learn in a growing function of the business.
What you’d be doing:
- Provide support to the Ceded Reinsurance team in planning, coordinating, tracking, and executing key strategic initiatives related to reinsurance, including program management, risk analysis, contracting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning
- Collaborate directly with reinsurance brokers to prioritize their efforts and ensure timely execution of placement deliverables
- Manage the diligence tracker and coordinate the delivery of Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) supporting documentation to SageSure’s external legal counsel for each catastrophe bond issuance
- Assist in designing renewal marketing presentations and workbooks for reinsurance markets and collecting necessary data
- Maintain accurate documentation of reinsurance and third-party capital transactions and ensure effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with reinsurance brokers to track meeting notes, action items, and schedule future meetings
- Ensure proper application of reinsurance contracts by working closely with internal departments, including underwriting and claims
- Track and report on reinsurer support across SageSure programs, including limits placed across the towers
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills (formatting of slides, creating exhibits, etc.)
- Strategic mindset and highly analytical thinker with sound business judgement
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain lists/dates/deadlines
- Ability to take comprehensive and detailed notes and catalog in an organized manner for quick reference by the CEO or other senior leaders
- Strong desire to autonomously own challenging tasks without fear of failure
- Bachelor’s degree
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Degree in actuarial sciences
- Experience and/or interest in working in reinsurance, financial services, accounting, management consulting, economics, or other related fields
