Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Airtable Engineer with a proven track record in designing, architecting, and scaling mission-critical business systems built on Airtable. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable Airtable-based operational platforms that power loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and internal workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong Airtable architecture expertise with automation, API integrations, third- party software integrations, data modeling, and process design skills, and can collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into elegant, efficient, scalable systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, architect, and maintain scalable Airtable bases and data models supporting loan origination, underwriting, servicing, capital markets, and operations;
• Build advanced Airtable automations, scripts, and integrations using Airtable Scripting, JavaScript, and APIs;
• Develop and maintain integrations between Airtable and third-party systems (e.g., CRM, loan management systems, document management platforms, accounting systems, and data warehouses);
• Propose and deploy best-in-class third-party software integrations to support required business workflows and technical programming that are limited using native Airtable functionality exclusively
• Implement data governance standards including permissions, access control, field-level security, naming conventions, and documentation;
• Optimize Airtable performance, scalability, and reliability for high-volume transactional workflows;
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Capital Markets, Finance, Data & Quality, and Engineering teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions;
• Support system monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements.

Essential Skills

• Experience designing and implementing complex Airtable architectures in production environments;
• Deep expertise in data modeling and relational database design, automations and scripting using JavaScript, Interfaces and advanced workflow design, and permissions, governance, and enterprise-level structure;
• Strong understanding of API integrations (RESTful APIs, webhooks, middleware such as Zapier and Make);
• Proficiency in JavaScript for automation and integration scripting;
• Experience integrating Airtable with external systems such as CRM platforms, loan management systems, accounting software, or document storage systems.

Highly Desirable Skills 

• Experience building fintech, lending, or financial operations systems;
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and integration;
• Experience designing operational systems for loan origination or underwriting workflows.
