Senior AI/ML Research Engineer

We are looking for an AI/ML Research Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic team at Orfium. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge AI models, contribute to impactful research projects, and mentor junior engineers. You should possess strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and be proficient in using machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. A solid understanding of AI methodologies, along with experience in large-scale data processing and cloud environments, will set you up for success in this position.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and develop novel AI models and ML algorithms.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art AI technologies.
• Benchmark existing models and develop new baselines.
• Lead AI projects that drive significant impact.
• Conduct research to explore new techniques and methodologies.
• Analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior team members.
• Document research findings and methodologies.
• Publish findings in relevant academic venues.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML projects.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
• Skilled at analyzing data and formulating hypotheses.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a research-oriented mindset.
• Good communication skills, able to present results effectively.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• Advanced degrees (MEng or MSc) in AI/ML or related fields are a plus.
• Experience in big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is advantageous.
• Publication record in AI/ML research is a plus.
