Your Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Gameplay Programmer to push the boundaries of AI-driven NPC behavior in our AAA survival city-building game. You will develop sophisticated AI systems that create unique, emergent gameplay experiences in a procedurally generated world.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven NPC behavior, including decision-making, pathfinding, and interactions.
• Work closely with designers and animators to create lifelike and reactive AI characters.
• Develop procedural AI routines for villagers, enemies, and creatures to enhance realism.
• Optimize AI performance for large-scale NPC interactions in an open-world environment.
• Debug, profile, and optimize AI systems for seamless gameplay performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AI programming for games.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with Unreal Engine 5 (Behavior Trees, EQS, NavMesh).
• Experience with procedural AI, crowd simulation, and large-scale NPC behavior.
• Passion for survival and city-building games.
• Onsite position.
