Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be an integral part of Picarro’s finance department. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will be responsible for executing core accounting activities, including month-end closing and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will also assist in maintaining internal controls and support efforts related to process improvements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to:

  • Perform and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Set up, coordinate, and manage new and existing multi-currency subsidiaries. Supervise internal and external accounting teams responsible for those subsidiaries to improve and streamline those processes, including payroll and AP.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including variance analyses and management reporting.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Ensure accounting practices are aligned with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Other accounting and operational projects as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or higher in accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing companies
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience.
  • CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience, a plus
  • Significant experience with international intercompany and pricing transfer agreements
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite a plus
  • Direct experience with managing payroll and implementing payroll systems is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong knowledge of operational and financial controls, including the ability to assess, develop and implement.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:

Willingness to commute to the office at a minimum of 4x per week

Salary & Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $140k-$175k. Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
