As a Senior Manager Accounting at Arteris your role will be ...
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations for US and foreign entities to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting
- Partner with the Assistant Controller and broader Finance team to optimize close timelines and implement scalable processes
- Perform monthly financial statements analyses
- Experience in various technical accounting areas including ASC 842 and ASC 718 to perform related operational and technical tasks
- Own key areas of the general ledger
- Develop and maintain internal controls in responsible areas of financial reporting to ensure adherence to company policy and regulations
- Work closely with external auditors and support quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Support the development and documentation of SOX controls and internal policies as part of public company SOX program
- Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors
- Assist in research, company adoption, and documentation of emerging accounting standards
- Provide technical accounting subject matter expertise on the treatment of accounting transactions and related financial reporting requirements specifically in relation to leases and vendor financing
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements
- Complete ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned
Experience Requirements / Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including both public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and corporate experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience managing a variety of general ledger areas
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, set clear expectations, and provide mentorship and development.
- Demonstrated competence in Excel
- Experience with NetSuite
- Highly motivated with ownership mentality in a fast changing and growing environment
- Proven knowledge of current US GAAP standards
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive deadlines in a high-growth environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Nice to have experience with Floqast
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
Estimated Base Salary (required for US only):
- $150,000 to $165,000 annually. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions
- There may be bonus and equity based on the experience
