Senior Accounting Analyst

About the role
As a member of the Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager is responsible for assisting with the month end close at the corporate level. This role will also be responsible for the accounting of a subsidiary. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with your colleagues and help support a high-growth, multi-entity, and global business. We are keen to hire an independent Corporate Finance talent who has strong financial reporting skills and is the focus driven to join the team as we are expanding. In this role, you will be responsible for the results of the assigned areas and must manage and oversee the financial operations having a clear influence on the development of practices, processes, and procedures for the financial operations.
What You Will Do
Reporting to Finance Manager, this role is responsible for daily accounts receivable and payable operations as well as assisting payroll and month-end close processes. This role will also be responsible for supporting tax filing by providing ongoing support and backup.
- Preparation and presentation of financial statements to the finance manager.
- Preparation of variance analysis of actuals vs budget and provide the reasons thereof.
- Independently handling statutory, tax audit and TP reporting.
- Preparation of TDS, GST, SEZ and FEMA associated statutory returns.
- Ensuring adherence of financial policies and procedures.
- Conduct reviews and evaluate cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Actively involved in the preparation of budgets.
- Interact with various other departments within the company to ensure the smooth operations of finance department.
- Interact with external stakeholder such as tax consultants and auditors to ensure proper adherence to tax provisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal & external stakeholders.
- Identify areas for improvements in financial processes.
- Must have a high degree of accuracy on financial data and adaptable on an ongoing basis towards the tax provisions and financial tools.
- Capable to work and act independently and complete work within the defined standards of operations and capable of resolving problems with suitable recommendations.
- Interact with suppliers over call and/or emails in receiving the missing docs, seeking clarifications, follow-ups, and close open issues.
- Responsible for maintaining documentation and ensuring audit compliance.
- Should be able to multitask between deliverables and day to day activities.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years’ experience in general accounting and finance.
- Must be holding MBA in Finance/ Qualified Cost Accountant/ Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- In depth knowledge on core finance modules AR, AP, GL, FA, and CM.
- Able to independently handle statutory & tax audit, transfer pricing reporting and interacting with auditors and consultants.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities.
- Must be proactive, self-driven, ability to work independently, fast paced and has a positive learning attitude, with good communication & presentation skills.
- Experience with working in Tally prime ERP, Net Suite, SAP Concur is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Excel
- Flexible and adaptable to changes.
- Experience in MNC involving software exports from India is preferred.
