募集職種 

The Accounting team in Japan ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with Japanese statutory and tax requirements, and alignment with Coupang headquarters’ global accounting policies. The team collaborates closely with both local operations and global finance functions to maintain high standards of compliance, efficiency, and accuracy. The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for the inventory accounting &reconciliation, inventory reserve, and reporting of inventory in Coupang Jikgu’s operations. This role ensures that warehouse and system balances are aligned, inventory provisions are properly estimated, and physical stock counts are accurately tracked. The role also provides financial insights to support FC management and business decisions. 

主な業務内容 

• Perform monthly and periodic reconciliations between warehouse physical inventory and accounting/system balances.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies (e.g., shrinkage, damages, timing differences).
• Calculate and record inventory provisions (e.g., obsolescence, damage, shrinkage).
• Ensure valuation methods comply with company policies and Japanese GAAP.
• Coordinate and monitor periodic stock counts (cycle counts, year-end physical counts).
• Track and analyze stock movement, including receipts, transfers, usage, and write-offs.
• Partner with FC managers to strengthen inventory management practices.
• Provide accounting guidance on receiving, storage, and inventory control processes.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on inventory balances, provisions, and variances.
• Analyze inventory-related KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, HQ standards, and statutory/tax requirements.
• Support internal and external audits with inventory-related documentation.

応募資格 

基本資格 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.  

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in inventory accounting or cost accounting in logistics, retail, or manufacturing.  

• Strong knowledge of Japanese GAAP and inventory-related accounting practices. Familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory tracking tools. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  

• Business-level in both Japanese and English
