Senior Accountant, Tax (Vancouver)

You will

• Prepare, maintain, update, and manage tax working papers for multiple entities, including preparation of continuity and reconciliation schedules
• Research and resolve discrepancies between tax balances and accounting balances
• Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns, elections, forms and regulatory filings
• Prepare responses to inquiries and requests of tax authorities
• Assist in preparation of tax provision working paper and tax estimate calculations
• Assist in tax planning, research and analysis work
• Assist in corresponding with investors for tax related questions
• Assist in designing and implementing tax working papers
• Assist with ad hoc tax or accounting projects
• Correspond with the external tax advisors

You have

• A professional accounting designation
• At least 3 years’ experience in a tax role or role that required tax return preparation
• Familiarity with Tax Prep (preferred), or similar tax software
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills
• Public practice tax experience is an asset
• Cross-border (US-Canada) tax experience is an asset 
• A desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• A desire to build relationships across the business
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to multitask
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
• The experience to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Strong work ethic and accountability
• The ability to work independently and understand when to ask for help

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000, based on experience.
