Senior Accountant

ICAP Employment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant, on behalf of its client, a global integrated energy company that produces and markets energies, with its premises in Athens, Greece.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting activities, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with internal and external teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of financial reporting from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute finance and accounting activities (invoice processing, data entry, reconciliation, payment preparation) on her/his perimeter including closing
• Process receipts, statement of accounts, claims and invoices accurately in due time
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries
• Generate and update reports or summaries on management's requirement
• Validate the data received before conducting all analysis and manages exceptions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Company policies and running appropriate reports
• Support issue resolution based on analysis and errors related to processing of accounting data
• Be the point of contact with central accounting
• Handle accrual and provisions issues and computations
• Process with "myDATA" submissions monthly

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven track record at least of 5 years experience
• Greek accounting standards (International accounting standards as a plus)
• Familiar with ERP system
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external authorities
• Team-oriented

• Excellent command of Greek Language
• Proficiency in English
