Senior Accountant

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing the accounting records and unaudited IFRS financial statements primarily for BVI Companies and Trusts

• Liaising with clients to obtain the relevant information for accounting completion and responding to client’s inquiries

• Ensure that all transactions posted are supported with the relevant documentation and analysis

• Ensure that the accounting files are organized and updated

• Review of audited or unaudited financial statements of BVI Companies and Trusts provided by clients for signing ensuring accuracy and completeness and that are in line with the economic profile of the company

• Ensure that the review and accounting process cover AML transaction monitoring, DAC6 and TP assessment and update of the economic profile of the company using WiseBos software

• Review and/or complete reporting for BVI Companies based on management accounts

• Collaboration with Compliance and Corporate Department on transaction monitoring and on the due diligence process in corporate transactions when required.

• Administration work to support the Department

• Handle any ad hoc other tasks that may be assigned

• Report to the Head of Bookkeeping Department.
  

  Job requirements:

• Minimum three years of experience in similar position

• University degree in Accounting/ Finance

• Qualified or Semi-Qualified in ACCA will be considered as an advantage

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking

• Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written

• Very good knowledge of Intelisoft and Caseware

• Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of MS Office tools especially a very good knowledge of MS Excel.
