As a Senior Accountant in Global Finance Operations P2P, you play a key role in managing VAT reporting, statistical filings, and accounting tasks across multiple European entities. You are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submissions of VAT & Intrastat and EC Sales Lists, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. The role will be reporting to Senior Manager Lirong Schollbach with a dotted line to Manager Global P2P Frederik D. Andersen located in Denmark. Travel activities must be expected app. 25-40 days per year.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit VAT reports and EC Sales Lists for various European countries
  • Collect and process data from ERP systems (e.g., D365) and logistics tools (e.g., Sciformation) for VAT reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Legal teams to ensure access to necessary systems and documentation.
  • Ensure correct use of VAT numbers and reporting codes in accordance with local regulations.
  • Calculate reverse charge VAT and import VAT, validate documentation, and reconcile VAT accounts.
  • Upload reporting files and documentation to SharePoint in line with internal guidelines.
  • Liaise with local tax authorities and internal teams regarding deadlines, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Act as a superuser in D365 and ExFlow, handling error resolution and process optimization.
  • General accounting support – fixed assets, payment processing, accounting related support to the business.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting education and several years of experience in VAT and accounting within an international context.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO).
  • Experience with VAT reporting across multiple EU countries and understanding of Intrastat and EC Sales List requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and systematically with complex data and deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments and countries.
  • German language skills are a great plus – very nice to have, but not a must.
