We’re partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization seeking a new Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance efforts, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support core accounting functions, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and oversight of accounts payable and receivable.
Assist with audit preparation, including compiling backup documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Partner with program and department leaders to support financial reporting and assist with grant tracking and budget alignment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
4 - 7 years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
