We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily transaction coding and categorization in QuickBooks Online
  • Complete bank reconciliations across multiple client accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure proper account classifications
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies (e.g., negative liability accounts)
  • Support catch-up and cleanup projects for clients with backlog work
  • Apply basic accounting theory to correctly categorize expenses vs. cost of goods sold
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems using Google Drive and Canopy Tax
  • Work individually and/or with the assistance of a Bookkeeper to complete assigned tasks
  • Coordinate with the Team Lead/Manager to provide input and help solidify standardized accounting processes (e.g., for a continuity binder)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA certification
  • Mid to senior-level experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online
  • Strong English communication skills with a neutral accent
  • Experience working with American companies (preferred)
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and research skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and cloud-based workflows
