Role purpose

Supporting the finance controller with the efficient and accurate financial management of the Control Risks Australia business.

Role tasks and responsibilities

Accounting and Tax
 In collaboration with the Shared Service Centre team ensure accuracy of month end results (P&L and Balance Sheet).
 Posting of all vendor purchase orders and collaboration with the Shared Service Centre team to ensure accuracy of vendor balances.
 Regular review of balance sheets ensuring all balances are reconciled and substantiated.
 Posting and confirmation of all inter-company transactions including reconciliation of intercompany balances.
 Timely and accurate completion of all tax returns and submissions.

Payroll
 End to end processing of payroll on a monthly basis, including processing leave payouts and final pay on termination.
 Management of Single Touch Payroll system
 Administration of employee leave entitlements, including annual leave, long service leave etc.
 Accurate accrual tracking and reconciliation of leave balances.
 Ensuring compliance with superannuation guarantee obligations and deadlines.
 Calculation, reporting and payment of payroll tax in accordance with relevant state and territory legislation, including lodgement of monthly and annual payroll tax returns.
 Administration of workers compensation payroll reporting, including wage declarations and premium calculations.

Audit and Compliance
 Ensuring geo-market alignment on policy application and to carry out processes to drive transparency, reliability and accuracy of financial reporting.
 Ensuring that the geo-market complies with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements in a timely manner and to a high standard.
 Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners in the areas of banking, audit and tax advisory.
 Providing oversight, support and advice on local and group audits and investigations, in a timely manner and to a high standard.
 Tracking and preparedness for upcoming changes within financial compliance, driven by local laws as well as group guidance.

Cash collection
 In collaboration with Shared Service Centre team support improvement in cash collection process within Australia (geo-market).
 When needed, support with issuing invoices.

Business Support
 Striving to always understand and respond to the needs of the business, while remaining independent, objective and ethical.
 Providing commercial advice, alongside Commercial Finance Business Partner, on pricing (including taxes) and financial performance.
 Support Regional Commercial Finance Business Partner and Regional Financial Controller on regional and global initiatives.

Requirements

 Minimum 5 years experience in a finance team role.

 Sound knowledge of accounting principles.

 Competent in Excel and advanced accounting software preferably D365.

 Strong bookkeeping skills.

 Degree qualified in accounting is mandatory/ CPA or working toward CPA preferred
