As a Senior Accountant, you will take on a key role within the finance team, contributing significantly to financial reporting, accounting processes, and the ongoing development of the organization.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Independent responsibility for the financial close of one or more SNKE entities, with a strong focus on IFRS and HGB
  • Communication and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Cross-functional collaboration with accounting-related departments such as Controlling, Purchasing, and Sales
  • Implementation, optimization, and testing of new processes within and beyond our ERP system
  • Review of monthly financial statements at account level, including critical analysis of account movements at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
  • Responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations (accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, general ledger postings)
  • Processing and postings in fixed asset accounting
  • Preparation of group consolidation and management reporting
  • Coordination and execution of fixed asset inventories
  • Preparation and filing of VAT advance returns and EC Sales Lists (recapitulative statements)
  • Monthly submission of statutory and statistical reports to public authorities
  • Degree with a focus on accounting, taxation, controlling, or a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, particularly in accounting and the financial closing process, as well as knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and HGB
  • Confident handling of Excel and SAP Analysis for Office
  • Very strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting
  • Knowledge of SAP applications is an advantage
  • Strong German and English language skills
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to enjoy working on new topics and independently develop and implement solutions
