Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support a growing accounting and tax practice in the Orlando, Florida area. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, managing client engagements, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The position works closely with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and tax services. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Utilize Drake Tax Software for tax preparation, filing, and documentation management
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients
• Respond to client inquiries and provide guidance on tax-related matters
• Assist with tax notices, audits, and regulatory correspondence as needed
• Maintain organized workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards
• Collaborate with internal staff to improve processes and workflow efficiency

Requirements

3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax-focused accounting roles

CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing)

Experience using Drake Tax Software preferred

Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client engagements simultaneously

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
