The senior accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing and reviewing account reconciliations, verifying financial records and transactions, and preparing the monthly financial reports. You will also be assisting the controller as needed and respond to information requests by management.   To be successful as senior accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger, ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and produce accurate and timely reporting. An outstanding senior accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.  Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly close and reporting and make as efficient as possible 
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. 
  • Preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations. 
  • Performing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, verifying accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors.  
  • Improve processes and controls 
  • Help with external audits  
  • Collaborate with the AR, AP and Treasury 
  • Assist the Controller with special projects as needed 
  • Oversee the Concur Expense Reporting and Reimbursement system 
  • Manage a portion of the revenue recognition on a monthly and annual basis 
  • Review and update close schedule and team responsibilities as needed for highest level of output 
  • Maximize the reporting and potential of the NetSuite Accounting System 
  • Assist with oversight of customer billing process to make sure we are getting bills out at the earliest possible time 
  • Other tasks as they arise 
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience. 
  • Public Accounting Experience is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills. 
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc)  
  • Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus but not required 
  • Ability to work autonomously without being micromanaged and trustworthy 
  • The ability to work in a fast paced team environment

    The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
