Senior Account Executive

We are seeking a highly accomplished and results oriented Senior Account Executive with a proven track record of closing large, complex enterprise software deals. You will play a key role in driving Squirro’s expansion and helping establish us as the world’s leading GenAI platform for enterprises. About the role
As an Account Executive, you will own the full enterprise sales cycle, from territory planning and pipeline generation to closing complex deals and expanding key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Territory & Pipeline Ownership: Own and execute a strategic territory plan focused on Continental Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Italy), building and converting a strong pipeline of enterprise opportunities.
- Enterprise Sales Execution: Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from qualification through contract close, consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- C-Level Engagement & Relationship Management: Cultivate and expand relationships with C-suite and senior business decision-makers across target accounts.
- Value-Based Sales & Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Development, Solution Engineering, and internal teams to execute tailored, value-based sales strategies and campaigns.
- Account Management & Growth: Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Market Awareness & Positioning: Stay informed on competitive landscape and emerging technologies to effectively position Squirro as a trusted solution.
- Sales Operations & Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM data, manage pipeline health, and provide reliable forecasts and activity reporting.
Required Skills and Experience
As this region continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Account Executive who is comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels. You will support the Sales team in driving revenue growth and expanding Squirro’s enterprise footprint.
- 5–7+ years of quota-carrying experience in enterprise software sales
- Proven track record of closing complex, consultative deals
- Strong pipeline generation and territory management capabilities
- Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers
- Experience with value-based and consultative selling approaches
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Strong communication and presentation skills in business contexts
- Fluency in German and English (required)
- Industry experience in Financial Services, Government, or Manufacturing preferred
- Interest
in AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, and Data Science
Ideally, you also have:
- Experience selling Enterprise Search, GenAI, or Data Analytics platforms
- Additional European language (e.g. French, Italian)
- Degree (BA / MA / MBA or equivalent experience)
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
