headspace Dandenong and Hastings provide vital mental health, wellbeing, and support services for young people and their families. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all.
Your role, your impact
As a Senior Access Clinician, you will:

Facilitate service access pathways for young people and families, ensuring timely and effective support

Conduct in-person and telehealth assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions, including single session therapy and group support

Provide short-term interventions for young people experiencing barriers to accessing care
-
Formulate recovery and treatment plans and coordinate referrals to headspace or other youth services

Lead clinical case reviews and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions

Engage stakeholders to enhance referral pathways and integrated care

Champion ethical practice and uphold the highest standards of professional accountability

Contribute to ongoing service development and continuous improvement
Who we’re looking for
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Minimum tertiary qualification in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, counselling, or a related field, with eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association
- Experience in mental health assessments, psychoeducation, and short-term interventions with young people
- Experience working with young people and families from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTIQA+, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, refugees, neurodivergent people, and people with disabilities
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and issues affecting youth mental health
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
What will make you stand out
- Experience with single session therapy and dual diagnosis
- Experience engaging clients via online counselling platforms
- Understanding of the not-for-profit and health sectors
- Experience in intake and risk assessments with young people
