POSITION: Senate Press Assistant
LOCATION: Washington, DC
American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Senate Press Assistant to join our Senate Campaigns Team for the 2026 election cycle. This position is based in our Washington, DC office.
Primary responsibilities include:
Assist in pitching research to reporters and other stakeholders
Drafting products - including op-eds, press releases, and other materials for media consumption to drive coverage and lead rapid response/bracketing efforts;
Working with partners and allies on earned media efforts; and
Participating in regular strategy sessions on overall message development as well as press plans for the week/day ahead.
The ideal candidate will have:
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment
Campaign or Hill experience is strongly preferred
Have experience working closely with opposition researchers to pitch stories
Have a firm grasp of today’s traditional and social media environments
Have a great sense of humor and creativity
Work well under pressure and on deadline

We offer a competitive salary starting at $65,000 for this position and a strong benefits package.
