Semi Senior Designer

In this role, you will act as a bridge between high-level brand strategy and dynamic video production.

You will have two main directives:

  1. Brand Systems: You will architect complex, user-centric presentation toolkits (specifically in Google Slides) that empower our internal teams.
  2. Design for Video: You will lead the art direction for video projects—creating styleframes, storyboards, and asset libraries that define the visual look of our motion graphics before a single keyframe is set.

We are looking for someone who understands that a brand must look as good in a static boardroom deck as it does in a fast-paced social video / animated assets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Brand Toolkits & Presentation Systems
  • Complex System Architecture: Design and build comprehensive master decks and brand toolkits using Google Slides. You will leverage deep technical knowledge of the platform (master slides, theme builders) to create systems that are unbreakable and easy to use.
  • Information Design: Translate complex data and rough outlines into visually sophisticated narratives. You ensure the user experience within the presentation is seamless.
  1. Designing for Video & Motion
  • Art Direction for Motion: Create high-fidelity styleframes and storyboards to establish the visual direction for video projects, motion graphics, and animated explainers.
  • Asset Creation for Animation: Design "motion-ready" assets—layered files, typographic lockups, and lower thirds—that are organized and optimized for video editors and animators to take over.
  1. AI Integration & Workflow
  • Generative Ideation: Use AI tools (e.g., Gemini with Nano Banana, Adobe Firefly) to rapidly generate mood boards and storyboard concepts for video shoots.

Qualifications & Hard Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of design experience, with a portfolio showcasing both system design (brand guidelines/decks) and design for motion (styleframes/storyboards).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • Presentation Tech: Comprehensive understanding of Google Slides is required. You must know how to build templates that function like software products.
  • Design Suite: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is non-negotiable.

Figma: Knowledge of figma is required for collaborative work processes on styleframes for video projects.

  • AI Proficiency: Experience using Generative AI for concepting and asset creation 

Required Soft Skills 

  • Mentorship & Creative Stewardship: You go beyond simple management; you actively elevate the team’s standard. You have a proven ability to nurture junior talent, providing constructive, actionable feedback on both technical execution (e.g., "fix this layer mask") and conceptual thinking.
  • Articulate Design Strategy: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain the "why" behind design decisions to stakeholders and non-designers.
  • Operational Mastery: Strong time management is a baseline; you bring organizational excellence. You manage your own bandwidth while anticipating project bottlenecks. You understand that in video and system design, a messy file is a broken file, and you enforce rigorous organizational standards.
  • Strategic Ownership: A proactive, self-motivated approach; you own the outcome and solve problems before they become blockers.
  • Agile Iteration: The ability to iterate on designs rapidly and work efficiently under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
  • Low-Ego Collaboration: A humble and collaborative attitude, capable of working seamlessly with Art Directors, Motion Designers, and Copywriters to achieve the best result.
