We're looking for a skilled Manufacturing Technician ready to transition into a Seedcare Manufacturing role at our innovative facility. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to be part of our plant's construction and growth, putting you at the forefront of seedcare technology. You'll operate cutting-edge chemical processing equipment and contribute to the production of vital agricultural solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chemical processing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Manage production assets and associated documentation in compliance with quality standards
  • Perform at-line laboratory analysis and testing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure availability of raw materials in required quantities to maintain manufacture, including planning ahead and proactively repacking, labelling, and storing raw materials for the current campaign
  • Support Plant Management with creation and update of Administrative Control documentation including Process Instructions and Process Operating Instructions
  • Take responsibility and satisfaction in maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy workplace
  • Undertake materials and stock check management processes
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of required materials and prompt return of materials not needed for the current campaign
  • Operate Combi lift, Powered Pallet Truck, and Forklift Truck within defined areas to move materials
     
  • Nat 4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science
  • Experience in chemical processing or food/drink manufacturing (CoMAH site preferred)
  • Strong HSE knowledge and commitment to safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and problem-solving abilities

Note: Shift working likely to commence in Q3 2026.

 

Site Details 

Syngenta's Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield. 

At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one finished product formulation and packaging plant with the most recent facility opening in May 2010.
