Position Overview  We are looking for a Security Systems Solution Engineer for Netflix.  The Security Systems Solutions Engineer is responsible for optimizing and advancing Netflix’s security technology ecosystem to ensure maximum operational impact and return on investment. This individual brings a strong system administration and technical background, with the ability to integrate platforms, manage and transform data to support business intelligence, and design scalable solutions to complex security challenges. The role focuses on continuous improvement of Netflix’s security technology tech stack through research, development, and deployment of innovative integrations that streamline workflows and enhance overall program effectiveness. As a Solution Engineer, you will design, engineer, and support integrated physical security systems globally. Additionally, the Solutions Engineer will identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, improve system performance, and enable security teams to focus on higher-value, strategic initiatives. This is a full-time, fully remote position offering a comprehensive benefits package. Regional travel of approximately 15% will be required.   Essential Job Functions - Lead the research, evaluation, selection, and implementation of emerging security technologies to ensure Netflix is leveraging best-in-class solutions that maximize operational impact and ROI. - Serve as a technical subject-matter expert in various security technologies including access control, video security systems/analytics while driving continuous improvement, system optimization, and performance enhancement initiatives. - Architect, configure, and maintain integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across access control, video management, visitor management, and related technologies. - Design and manage ETL workflows to aggregate and transform security system data into actionable business intelligence insights. - Program, configure, and support existing systems, ensuring optimal uptime and performance through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system backups, firmware updates, and routine log monitoring. - Identify, design, and deploy automation solutions to eliminate repetitive manual processes and improve operational efficiency across the security program. - Lead evaluation and execution of system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations to improve scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. - Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for enterprise-wide security applications in a cloud-based environment. - Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, SOPs, and training materials. - Partner cross-functionally with Security Operations, IT, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions. - Manage multiple concurrent technical initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. Required Skills and Experience - 3+ years of experience programming and administering enterprise-wide physical security systems, including large-scale, multi-site deployments. - 3+ years of experience integrating security systems across multiple platforms and technologies, including API-based integrations and data exchange workflows.  - Proven experience supporting or leading enterprise-wide security applications, including access control, video management systems (VMS), visitor management, and related platforms. - Experience with cloud-based camera analytics and emerging AI-driven security technologies. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and diplomatically across technical and non-technical teams. - Technical degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and/or relevant industry certifications. - Genetec Synergis SC-STC-001 and/or SC-ETC-001 certification is preferred. - Studio production, entertainment, or technology industry experience is a plus.
Salary
$110,000 – $130,000 per year
