Security & AI Safety Developer | Remote LATAM + Part time| 20-24 USD hourly | AI-powered Tech Startup for Business Performance

We’re looking for a Security & AI Safety Developer to work part time in LATAM, to design and build secure infrastructure for Vida, our AI consulting platform. This isn’t just about configuring tools — you’ll be coding the systems that protect clients, safeguard data, and ensure AI remains reliable and compliant.

This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll architect authentication systems, implement AI guardrails, and establish monitoring/testing frameworks to keep security front and center. You’ll collaborate with a lean, entrepreneurial team, move fast, and see your work directly shape the product.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement enterprise-grade authentication & session management (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, MFA, secure token storage, session rotation).
• Design security infrastructure: rate limiting, brute-force protection, TLS 1.2+, security headers, and API hardening.
• Implement AI safety measures: prompt injection defenses, input sanitization, guardrails, model validation, and safe fallback systems.
• Set up testing & monitoring frameworks: automated unit/security tests, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and continuous monitoring.
• Manage security in Azure environments (Key Vault, secrets, certificates).
• Champion best practices around secure coding, infrastructure, and AI safety across the platform.

• Strong software development background (hands-on coding required - focused on AI Safety languages).
• Proven experience with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC flows, MFA, and secure session management.
• Solid track record implementing security infrastructure (rate limiting, brute-force defense, TLS, headers, etc.).
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and penetration/security testing.
• Exposure to AI safety / LLM guardrails (or strong willingness to learn quickly).
• Bonus: Experience with Azure security (Key Vault, certificates, TLS).
• Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment — adaptable, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
