JOB TITLE: SECURITY AGENT

LOCATION: LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT

PAY RATE: £13.15 PER HOUR

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This position is 4 on 2 off - 30 Hours per week

Working in Heathrow Airport as part of a team to deliver great customer service and aviation security to all airport users. You will search baggage, passengers and airport staff, as well as patrol and guard areas within the airport to ensure that the airport, aircraft, passengers and airport staff are safe and secure at all times.

You will be an energetic and professional team player who can work to demanding timescales to ensure that flights depart on time. You will be provided with the necessary training and uniform so that you can confidently carry out the role in line with security regulations and ABM UK’s company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Search baggage, passengers and airport staff to the required standard
• Carry out patrolling and guarding duties within the airport to the required standard
• Carry out access control duties for passengers, airport staff and vehicles to the required standard
• Provide great customer service to passengers and airport staff
• Report all security incidents and concerns to the security supervisor
• Work positively and effectively with all team members and other airport and airline colleagues
• Comply with training, security regulations and ABM UK’s company policies and procedures
• Work safely at all times and in line with ABM UK’s safety standards, policies and procedures
• Always act professionally, dress smartly and be an excellent timekeeper
• Complete any reasonable tasks that are required by the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• A good level of spoken and written English
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and without constant supervision
• Able to work to demanding timescales without compromising quality, safety and security
• Attentive with good attention to detail
• Desire to deliver great service and to be helpful and courteous at all times
