Spectrum is seeking highly qualified IT Technical Support Specialist to support our proposal for a new program located in Norfolk, VA.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you should have experience or the ability to acquire skills related to:
Desired qualifications include training and/or experience in developing/managing military messaging systems and experience with Command and Control Official Information Exchange (C2OIX).
It is also desired to have experience using functional and/or technical specifications for various operating systems and software applications in both NIPRNET and SIPRNET network systems. Additionally, the ability to adhere to policies, instructions, and guidelines set forth by the Department of the Navy, Department of Defense, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Atlantic, and Commander Naval Network Warfare Command is required. Knowledge of applicable documentation, instructions, and policies regarding message traffic handling procedures is also necessary.
Requirements
General Experience: Four (4) years of relevant IT service desk/technical support experience. Two (2) years of experience, or a combination of one (1) year of experience and one (1) year of formal training, desired experience with military message handling system(s) and procedures.
Specialized Experience: Experience and demonstrated knowledge in conducting basic IT troubleshooting and applying techniques to resolve customer issues. Effective written and oral communication with Government civilian, Military personnel, and other Contractors at all levels of staff and management to ensure customer satisfaction and requirements are met. Experience with Windows 10 and core applications including Office 2016, Internet Explorer (latest version), Adobe products, and other Microsoft applications. Desired experience with DISA Windows 10 SHB (Secure Host Baseline) and SharePoint 2013. Possession of a valid N5005424R3000 - FINAL Page 13 of 108 driver’s License. Meeting operational requirements (i.e. contractor personnel should arrive ready to work with proper certifications) and meeting minimum credential requirements IAW DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, DoD 8140.
Experience or ability to acquire the skills in: military messaging format lines, drafting messages, releasing messages, trouble call responses, and knowledge of who can release messages.
