The impact you’ll make:

Our Voting Information Project team coordinates with state and local election offices to publish nationally-standardized information about where and how to vote—data that powers everything from Google’s polling place search to our text message and email reminders to TurboVote users. The Seasonal Voting Information Project Fellows will work with our team for the 2026 election cycle, assisting with collecting, cleaning, and ensuring the accuracy of a nation’s worth of election data.

As a Seasonal Voting Information Project Fellow, you will:

  • Collect accurate, up-to-date election information by researching online and conducting phone and email outreach to local election offices
  • Perform data entry and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of the information
  • Collaborate with teammates in meetings and asynchronously to work through sticking points and help us continuously improve internal processes 
  • Research partner and user-reported errors
  • Assist the team with other tasks as they arise 
  • Investigate and verify location details, ensuring the pinpoint accuracy of addresses on a map
  • Support the training of additional team members who may assist in this work as the November election approaches

You are:

  • Extremely attentive to details
  • Proficient at working with data
  • Excellent at communicating by telephone and email
  • Able to organize non-centralized, non-standard information into a coherent format
  • Knowledgeable on a basic level of American politics, elections, and/or election administration
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and problem-solving
  • Happy to pitch in wherever help is needed
  • Able to work effectively within a remote team

You have experience:

  • Conducting concise, clear phone and email outreach with a specific ask
  • Communicating across different areas of expertise and working in teams
  • Working on tight deadlines and quickly turning around deliverables
  • Working with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other data management software

How we work

Because elections take place everywhere, our employees work from all across the country. We embrace working remotely as the default. Our positions require regular, daily use of a computer (including the use of G-Suite and Slack) to conduct work and communicate with colleagues. We also have regular operating hours (10 am to 6 pm Eastern, Monday to Friday).
