Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Internship

The SEO Sherpa internship is a 12-week fast-start into a search engine marketing career.

You’ll get to learn, grow, and develop your skills in all aspects of search engine marketing, from pay-per-click advertising to organic SEO, and content marketing to conversion rate optimization (CRO) and overall account management of campaigns with various budgets. The program will inspire, educate, and prepare you to succeed in an entry-level role at SEO Sherpa and beyond.

The program covers:

• What is SEO, and why it is important.
• How to manage a campaign successfully.
• How to interact with clients.
• How to conduct successful meetings.
• How to do keyword research and analyze search intent.
• Content creation strategies for search success.
• Comprehensive on-page optimization techniques (from A-Z).
• How to convert more traffic through Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).
• What is link building, and why you need it.
• How to build backlinks with blogger outreach and digital PR
• Technical SEO, techniques, and best practices
• And, much more!

This program is designed for post-graduates or someone with minimal professional SEO experience. The program begins with six weeks of dedicated, hands-on training across all of our agency functions. After that, you’ll be assigned an assessment so we can see how far you’ve come. Once done, a select few of you will continue for another six weeks (paid) where you’ll work on actual client projects — developing the skills you need to kick-start a career in search and content marketing. 

No color-coordinating calendars, labeling files, or taking lunch orders when interning at SEO Sherpa. You’ll be working on real clients while gaining real-world experience working side-by-side with world-class experts.

Overview:

• We take you from zero to hero. Only post-graduates or those with minimal professional SEO experience should apply.
• A program covering approximately 20 hours per week of training.
• A priceless experience training you on all areas of SEO, and if brought over to the final six weeks, earn yourself $500 
• Covers all aspects of content marketing and search engine marketing, end-to-end.
• Full-time roles are offered to selected top graduates.

The next program is still to be confirmed, however estimated to begin by the 2nd half of 2025.
The program is split into 2 cycles, the 1st cycle focuses on solely training; where you will get a 6 week program covering all areas of SEO. The Second cycle is another 6 weeks which transitions you through working alongside the team on client deliverables.

Requirements

We are looking for passionate search marketers in the making. You should live and breathe digital marketing and are ready to learn new skills which you'll apply to real-world clients including fast-growth startups and world-leading brands.
