Sales Development Representative
Where and how we work:
We welcome candidates based in the UK with full local work rights. We are a remote first company, but the UK team has an optional hybrid set up with access to our central London WeWork. The team meets in person on a weekly basis, so candidates that are able are preferred, and should be within reasonable commuting distance.

We are looking for talented, passionate, and motivated individuals to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join the UK ‘Go to market’ team, taking accountants and bookkeepers on a journey to move their traditional methods of client engagement to a business critical platform that offers their customers sleek and professional branded experiences, automating large parts of their business including invoicing, payments and workflows.
As a Sales Development Representative, you'll play a key role in helping identify and connect with potential customers through the development of qualified leads that result in more product demos and sales for the UK market. Your main objective is to introduce prospective customers to what we're building and schedule product demonstrations for them with our Sales team. You’ll be an integral part of helping the company build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and grow its revenue.
What your day to day will look like:
Your main objective is to get prospective customers excited about what we're doing and schedule product demonstrations for them with our Sales team. You'll be an important part of helping build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and support the company’s growth.
Engage prospective customers by phone and email and to make a great first impression with our prospects by demonstrating knowledge of key areas such as our product, competitors, and industry (you'll be thoroughly trained on this!)
Conduct outbound outreach to connect with potential customers
Research and engage with prospective clients via our database (Hubspot), Linkedin, google maps etc.
Qualify leads and guide them to the next step in our company's sales cycle
Partner closely with our Inside Sales team to ensure strong communication and proper handoffs
Hit your monthly targets for qualified demos booked and completed
Participate in industry trade shows (light travel involved) to showcase the Ignition platform and connect with potential customers
Be a trusted source of product knowledge and confidently respond to prospective customer questions
Actively look for opportunities to improve and optimise our sales processes
Learn our technology stack (Hubspot, Gong, Zoom) to become more efficient and effective at your job
What you need to succeed:
Introductory conversation with our Talent team: A friendly discussion to learn more about your background and share additional context about the role and Ignition.
Hiring Manager + Team conversation: A deeper dive into your experience and approach, along with an opportunity to learn more about the team. This session includes an interview and a role play component, where you’ll run a mock discovery call.
Final conversation with the Head of the function: An opportunity to discuss career growth, as well as the broader business context and vision.
Reference and background checks: Conducted following acceptance of a verbal offer.
