SDET ENGINEER

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5–9 years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, and modern software development practices. The ideal candidate will not only bring deep expertise in building scalable test frameworks but also demonstrate the ability to leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development, testing, and delivery in line with the latest industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Integrate AI-driven tools into the testing lifecycle to improve efficiency, coverage, and speed.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Drive innovation in testing practices by adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and proactively identify gaps in test coverage.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a culture of quality across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–9 years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript,
• Expertise in automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG and Rest Assured (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with AI/ML tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Chat GPT, AI-based test generation tools) to accelerate development and testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
• Cloud and containerization knowledge (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable test environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering high-quality software at speed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI-driven test automation platforms (e.g., Katalon Studio, Testim, Mabl, Functionize).
• Experience in performance and security testing using modern tools.
• Knowledge of microservices testing strategies and contract testing.
• Ability to influence and drive quality initiatives across multiple teams.

Nice to Have:

• Brownfield or legacy automation experience
• Cloud, microservices, or regulated domain exposure
