What you’ll own as SDE II at Hevo
  • Build and optimize SaaS connectors for multiple applications, grasping key application specific nuances like API limits and data syncing.
  • Contribute to customer facing REST API layers, implementing features like endpoints, authentication, and basic scalability.
  • Resolve performance issues in data pipelines and maintain high-quality, efficient codebases.
  • Collaborate on feature scoping, breakdown, and implementation with seniors; own smaller components end-to-end.
  • Document integrations and contribute to system improvements under guidance.
  • Support juniors with code reviews and best practices for system reliability.
  • What you’ll bring to the table
  • Solid object-oriented design and experience applying patterns for maintainable SaaS integrations.
  • Hands-on work with concurrent systems or data pipelines, awareness of performance trade-offs and high availability basics.
  • Good understanding of REST API development (e.g., building endpoints, handling requests/responses) for customer exposure.
  • Strong programming in Java, solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
  • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting SaaS connector challenges like data inconsistencies, token refreshes or schema drifts etc.
  • Candidate Persona
  • 3-4 years in SaaS integrations, API development, or scalable data systems.
  • B Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
