Want a seat at our table? Want a seat at our table? Ziosk is looking for a highly experienced Scrum Master to join our Technology department. As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a leader, coach, and facilitator for our Agile teams, enabling them to self-organize, self-manage, and deliver high-quality products efficiently. You’ll work closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to uphold Scrum principles, foster collaboration, and remove any impediments that may obstruct progress. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, is adept at team dynamics, and is passionate about continuous improvement and fostering an Agile mindset.

The Main Course – Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.
• Support Product Owner: Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, ensure clear communication of product goals, and prioritize user stories based on business value.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve roadblocks to optimize team productivity and maintain steady workflow.
• Foster Team Collaboration: Promote a collaborative team environment and facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Coach Agile Practices: Educate and coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum processes, and best practices.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to optimize the team's effectiveness and agility.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on team progress using relevant metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
• Promote Agile Mindset: Advocate for an Agile mindset and Scrum practices across the organization, helping to build a culture of adaptability and innovation.
• Facilitate Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with other Scrum Masters and teams to align on project goals and remove dependencies.

What You Bring To The Table

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2-5 years as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment
  • Experience with software development teams and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
• Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar Agile certifications are preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile frameworks, and Lean principles
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage team dynamics and mediate conflicts effectively
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Problem-solving attitude and continuous improvement mindset
