Scientist / Researcher – AI Trainer

Do you have 8 to 20 hours per week available alongside your academic, industry or research commitments?

We are looking for experienced scientists and researchers based in the EU or UK to help improve advanced AI systems.

What you’ll be doing

We are 10x.team, a platform for fractional and freelance professionals. We partner with leading AI labs to improve large AI systems.

Your role is practical and high impact. You will:

• Review and refine AI generated responses related to scientific concepts, research methodology and data interpretation

• Evaluate outputs for logical consistency, methodological rigor and evidence based reasoning

• Draft realistic research scenarios such as experimental design, statistical analysis, literature synthesis, hypothesis testing or peer review critique

• Create variations of the same scenario from different perspectives such as principal investigator, reviewer, PhD candidate, industry researcher or funding body

Identify weaknesses in experimental logic, statistical assumptions, causal reasoning or interpretation of results

In simple terms:
You will assess and improve AI generated content to ensure it reflects real world scientific reasoning, research integrity and methodological precision.

This is not lab work or grant writing. Instead of conducting individual studies, you will help improve how AI systems understand and reason about scientific research at scale.

Your input directly improves how AI performs on scientific and research related topics.

Who this is for

You are:

• A scientist, academic researcher or industry researcher

• Based in the EU or UK

• With several years of experience in research, experimentation or applied scientific work

• Experienced in areas such as experimental design, statistical analysis, data interpretation, peer review or applied research methodology

• Comfortable identifying flawed hypotheses, weak statistical reasoning or overextended conclusions

• Available 8 to 20 hours per week

• Able to start in the coming weeks

This role is fully remote and flexible.
It works well alongside your existing research commitments.
