The Purpose:

The Scheme Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the release and deployment of new and updated services for eftpos, BPAY and NPP payment schemes, ensuring they meet business objectives, compliance, and quality standards. The role collaborates with product, delivery, technology and operations teams, as well as AP+ vendors to ensure the successful implementation of new and updated payment scheme capabilities through the Scheme Release.

 

The core accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates scheme releases in line with the established scheme release cycles.
  • Collaborates across all product and delivery teams to identify and manage release candidates through the cycle to release.
  • Manages the end-to-end release lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
  • Is responsible for maintaining and reporting on the contents and status of each release.
  • Publish release comms to portal
  • Tracks and Manages release content with vendors in line with defined scheme release schedule.
  • Manages delivery risk for scheme release’
  • Manage & drive scheme release testing cycles
  • Manage implementation planning with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Issues and facilitates communications of release plans, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducts post-release reviews and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing issues and driving continuous improvement. 

The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:

  • Project management a
  • Accreditation PMP 3+ years experience in Release Management
  • 3+ years experience in Project Management
  • Applying and executing Scheme Release and Deployment standards across legacy and modern technology architecture
  • Knowledge of the payments technology, IT systems and the financial industry
