Scene Prep / Tech Anim TD

Red Star 3D are seeking a UK or EU-based Scene Prep / Tech Anim TD to work remotely on Terry Pratchett movie THE AMAZING MAURICE 2.

As a Scene Prep / Tech Anim TD you will be responsible for preparing approved layout sequences for character animation; and for checking and finalising animated scenes to progress them to lighting.

The job:

• Build and test-render final scenes with approved assets and animation 
• Add cached FX elements when required
• Work on any post animation fixes on characters 
• Check test renders to ensure scenes are 100% ready to be picked up by Lighting artists
• Other duties as appropriate to the role and determined by supervisors

Must have:

• Experience with Maya in a production environment
• Diligence, thoroughness and an eye for detail 
• Problem solving and communication skills

• Experience level: Mid 
• Contract term: TBC
• Salary: negotiable
• Whilst these are fully remote positions, due to the way this project is funded candidates MUST be physically based in the UK or EU to be eligible and a strong preference will be given to UK-based candidates.
