Your mission

We have an exciting new position for you to consider: SCADA Engineer within our European ETS/ESS COE team. Curious about what this role entails? Let’s dive in:
  • Implement, deploy, and commission SCADA systems for utility-scale energy storage and PV projects, including network topology design and OT infrastructure setup.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) by documenting results, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring reliable data acquisition.
  • Coordinate communication and integration between SCADA systems, PV inverters, energy storage systems, and plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve SCADA telemetry, communication, and performance issues using logs, network inspection, and monitoring tools.
  • Maintain and optimize SCADA and EMS platforms, propose functional improvements, and collaborate with product teams for iterative upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and European grid regulations, anticipating potential project risks.

Your profile

That sounded great, right? Now, we want to make sure you feel happy in your position. It would be fantastic if you bring the following background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SCADA data acquisition or project implementation; experience in PV or energy storage is a plus.
  • English proficiency at C1 level.
  • Strong technical skills:
    • Familiarity with industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, IEC 61400-25, TCP/IP).
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C/C++, C#, Java).
    • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, InfluxDB) and Linux/Windows industrial OS.
  • Basic project management skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel for projects.
  • Experience with AUTOCAD and network security technologies is an advantage.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented team player who enjoys learning and sharing new technologies.
