Loft Orbital is seeking a Satellite Program Manager to support execution of spacecraft programs and customer missions. This role owns defined programs or major workstreams and grows toward full end-to-end accountability.
You will work within Loft’s IMS-driven execution framework, coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking execution against plan, and escalating risks early and clearly.
About this role:
Program Execution:
Own delivery of assigned programs, projects, or major workstreams
Coordinate execution across engineering, software, AIT, and operations
Track schedule, scope, and risks for owned scope
Scheduling & Planning:
Build and maintain executable schedules for owned scope
Update and manage tasks derived from the program IMS
Understand dependencies and surface conflicts proactively
Risk & Issue Management:
Identify risks early and propose mitigations
Track issues and drive closure
Support replanning and recovery actions when needed
Program Execution & Customer Support:
Own execution of assigned programs, projects, or major workstreams
Interface directly with customers on execution topics under guidance of a Senior PM
Support preparation and delivery of customer status updates and reviews
Ensure customer questions and concerns are tracked and resolved
Contract Administration:
Track contractual requirements, milestones, and deliverables for owned scope
Support change assessments by documenting impacts to schedule, cost, and scope
Maintain accurate records of customer direction and decisions
Coordinate with Finance on milestone completion and invoicing readiness
Communication & Reporting:
Provide clear, accurate status to internal leadership and customers
Ensure execution status aligns with contractual commitments
Escalate risks or misalignments early
Maintain accurate documentation and decision records
Must Haves:
3–7 years of experience in program management, systems engineering, or project leadership
Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
Ability to build and manage schedules for technical work
Strong organizational and communication skills
Nice to Haves:
Experience in satellite or aerospace programs
Exposure to Integrated Master Scheduling
Interest in growing into full end-to-end program ownership
