Satellite Production and Delivery Coordinator

Espoo , Finland

AI overview

Coordinate satellite production schedules and streamline operations for large constellations, bridging planning and software capabilities in a dynamic environment.

In this role, you will be at the heart of coordinating high-rate, complex satellite production in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Unlike traditional satellite builds, LEO constellations demand industrial-scale throughput, modular design adaptability, and tight integration between production, engineering, and supply chain functions. This role requires not only a mastery of production planning principles but also the ability to create or enhance digital tools and workflows where off-the-shelf solutions fall short.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time delivery, optimize assembly line operations, and enable agile scaling of satellite manufacturing for large constellations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, contributes to system development, and proactively bridges planning and software capability gaps.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end production schedules for satellite programs, considering technical constraints, part availability, labor, and facilities.
  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure schedule alignment and timely execution.
  • Lead daily and weekly production planning reviews, communicating status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Generate and maintain planning documents, including Gantt charts, critical path analyses, and capacity plans
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by integrating engineering changes and product configurations into the production plan.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cycle time, and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Manage data integrity in ERP/MRP/MES systems and ensure accurate material and production status tracking.

Requirements

To achieve success in this role, you will need a combination of the following:

  • Strong production planning and scheduling capabilities, with the ability to develop and manage high-volume workflows across multiple product lines.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and systems engineering.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Adaptability to respond quickly to production changes, delays, or evolving technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP/MES systems, scheduling software, and production planning tools
  • Foundational software development skills, such as Python or scripting, are a plus, useful for automating planning tasks, integrating data sources, or building internal planning tools.

Benefits

  • A job that matters in a dynamic Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach
  • An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment
  • Occupational healthcare, occupational and private insurance
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
