Role Overview

The SAP WalkMe UI/UX Architect will be responsible for defining and architecting intuitive, scalable, and user-centric digital adoption experiences within SAP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.

This role blends deep UI/UX architecture expertise with strong knowledge of WalkMe’s Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) and SAP business processes to design seamless, contextual in-app guidance and automation journeys that enhance productivity and reduce friction.


Key Responsibilities

🔹 UI/UX Architecture & Strategy

  • Define the overall UX vision and architecture for WalkMe implementations within SAP environments.

  • Design structured, scalable digital adoption frameworks aligned with enterprise UX standards.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and journey maps for SAP user interactions.

  • Ensure consistent UI patterns, accessibility compliance, and multi-language support.

🔹 WalkMe Experience Design

  • Architect and guide the development of:

    • Smart Walk-Thrus

    • SmartTips

    • Launchers

    • ShoutOuts

    • Task Lists

    • Onboarding & automation flows

  • Establish governance standards for WalkMe content design and UI consistency.

  • Ensure seamless integration with SAP role-based navigation and workflows.

🔹 SAP Collaboration & Business Alignment

  • Partner with SAP Functional Leads, Business SMEs, Change Management, and IT teams to:

    • Identify usability gaps and adoption challenges

    • Translate business needs into intuitive digital experiences

    • Improve process clarity and reduce training dependency

  • Ensure compatibility with SAP Fiori design principles and enterprise branding guidelines.

🔹 Data-Driven Optimization

  • Leverage WalkMe Insights and analytics tools to:

    • Analyze user behavior and engagement

    • Identify friction points

    • Conduct A/B testing

    • Continuously optimize UX journeys

  • Define adoption KPIs and measurable success metrics.


Required Technical Expertise

  • Advanced expertise in WalkMe Digital Adoption Platform (DAP).

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • SAP S/4HANA (preferred)

    • SAP SuccessFactors (preferred)

    • SAP Fiori UX principles

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • UX research methodologies

    • Wireframing & prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)

    • JavaScript & HTML (for WalkMe customization)

  • Experience with SSO/IDP integration and enterprise security models.


Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design and architecture.

  • 4+ years of experience designing WalkMe-based digital adoption solutions.

  • Prior experience working on SAP transformation or implementation programs.

  • Strong background in enterprise UX governance and design systems.

  • Experience in Agile / DevOps delivery environments.
