The SAP WalkMe Development SME will focus on leveraging WalkMe’s Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) to enhance user experience and drive adoption within SAP environments such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.
This role combines deep technical expertise in WalkMe development with strong SAP functional knowledge to design, build, and optimize in-app guidance, automation, and user enablement strategies.
Design and develop WalkMe solutions including:
Smart Walk-Thrus
SmartTips
Launchers
ShoutOuts
Task Lists
Automations
Build contextual in-app guidance tailored to SAP applications.
Develop custom rules and segmentation using JavaScript and HTML within WalkMe Editor.
Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and maintainability of WalkMe solutions.
Work closely with SAP stakeholders, functional SMEs, and UX teams to:
Identify user pain points
Translate business requirements into WalkMe solutions
Ensure compatibility across SAP platforms (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors preferred)
Support multi-language implementations and accessibility compliance standards.
Align WalkMe design with SAP security models including SSO/IDP configurations.
Analyze user behavior using WalkMe Insights.
Conduct A/B testing to measure adoption and effectiveness.
Optimize digital adoption journeys to reduce support tickets and improve user productivity.
Troubleshoot issues and support escalations related to WalkMe implementations.
Strong proficiency in WalkMe Editor and advanced WalkMe development.
Hands-on experience with:
JavaScript
HTML
Custom segmentation & rule building
SAP functional knowledge in:
SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
SAP SuccessFactors (preferred)
Experience with:
SSO / Identity Provider (IDP) integrations
Role-based access design
Enterprise analytics tools
7+ years of experience in Digital Adoption Platforms (DAP).
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on WalkMe development experience.
Prior exposure to SAP implementation or SAP support projects.
Experience tracking KPIs, user adoption metrics, and performance dashboards.
Familiarity with Agile / DevOps environments.
Strong instructional design mindset.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle escalations and drive resolution independently.
Clear communication skills (written & verbal).
