SAP S/4HANA VIM Consultant

Our client in the IT Services and IT Consulting industry is looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA VIM Consultant to support the OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solution during the Early Life Support phase. The role is key to stabilizing post–go-live operations by ensuring smooth invoice processing, workflow optimization, and end-user enablement across Accounts Payable and Procurement functions. This position requires a strong functional understanding of VIM processes and integration points with SAP FI and MM modules.

• Serve as the primary functional expert for OpenText VIM during Early Life Support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to invoice indexing, approvals, and exception handling.
• Monitor and optimize invoice throughput, approval workflows, and system performance.
• Provide real-time support to Accounts Payable and Procurement users on invoice processing issues.
• Investigate and resolve VIM exceptions using the Exception Handling Framework (EHF).
• Collaborate with SAP FI and MM teams for integration issues related to PO matching, GR/IR, and invoice posting.
• Partner with ABAP, Workflow, OCR, and ArchiveLink technical teams for system tuning and issue resolution.
• Utilize VIM Analytics to identify performance trends and processing bottlenecks.
• Support user enablement and knowledge transfer to business-as-usual (BAU) support teams.
• Log and manage incidents via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), maintaining detailed documentation.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with OpenText VIM in SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture (version 1909 or later preferred).
• Proven background in post–go-live or hypercare support for VIM implementations.
• Expertise in exception handling, workflow troubleshooting, and indexing processes.
• Experience analyzing VIM Analytics and system logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong understanding of integration between VIM, SAP FI, and SAP MM modules.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and user support skills.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Prior experience in the utilities or regulated industry is desirable.
