Job Description
The RTR Business Lead will be a key leader within the Finance organization, responsible for the oversight, optimization, and governance of the Record to Report (RTR) processes, with a strong emphasis on leveraging SAP solutions, including S/4HANA. This role requires an experienced professional with deep expertise in RTR processes, SAP FI/CO modules, and a proven track record of driving process improvements and ensuring compliance. The RTR Business Lead will partner with global stakeholders, IT, and other finance teams to ensure efficient, effective, and standardized RTR operations.
Responsibilities:
• RTR Process Ownership:
o Lead and manage global RTR processes, including general ledger, financial closing, consolidation, reporting, and fixed assets.
o Define and implement global RTR process standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all business units.
o Identify and drive opportunities to streamline and automate RTR processes, leveraging best practices and technology solutions.
o Monitor RTR process performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions as needed.
• SAP RTR Solution Management:
o Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP solutions to support RTR processes, with a focus on S/4HANA.
o Ensure that SAP systems are optimized to meet evolving business requirements and regulatory changes.
o Collaborate with IT to manage SAP enhancements, upgrades, and projects related to RTR.
o Provide functional expertise and guidance on SAP FI/CO modules, including General Ledger, New GL, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
• S/4HANA Expertise:
o Lead the implementation and optimization of RTR processes in SAP S/4HANA, leveraging its advanced functionalities.
o Ensure successful migration of RTR data and processes to S/4HANA, minimizing disruption to business operations.
o Drive the adoption of S/4HANA best practices to improve RTR efficiency, reporting capabilities, and real-time insights.
• Stakeholder Management:
o Partner with global, regional, and local finance teams to understand their RTR needs and ensure alignment with global standards.
o Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
o Work with IT, legal, and tax departments to address cross-functional dependencies and ensure seamless integration of RTR processes.
• Compliance and Controls:
o Ensure that RTR processes comply with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and internal controls.
o Develop and maintain documentation for RTR processes, policies, and procedures.
o Oversee the execution of internal controls related to RTR, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and manage a team of RTR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the RTR team.
o Promote best practices and drive standardization across the global RTR organization.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 15-16 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on RTR processes.
• Extensive experience in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP FI/CO solutions for RTR.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, including implementation, configuration, and optimization of RTR processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and change management initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with BlackLine or other financial close automation tools.
• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud).
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
• SAP certification in FI/CO.
