This includes SAP Material Management (MM), OpenText VIM, Fiori applications, SRM tools, and all related procurement/inventory interfaces.
The role involves solution design, issue resolution, system analysis, documentation, testing, and ongoing production support in a fast-paced international trade environment.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery

  • Architect, configure, and optimize SAP MM/PTP solutions across procurement, inventory, and logistics functions.
  • Work with global stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Design end-to-end solutions including SAP ECC/S4, OpenText VIM, Fiori apps, and 3rd-party procurement interfaces.
  • Evaluate system architecture with focus on design quality, scalability, and integration.

System Support & Enhancements

  • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP MM, VIM, and PTP processes across global locations.
  • Analyze issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver long-term fixes.
  • Support production, development, and testing landscapes.

Testing & Documentation

  • Lead and coordinate functional testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and regression testing.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed application documentation, configuration guides, process maps, and test cases.

Procure-to-Pay Process Governance

  • Maintain and enhance PTP procedures, controls, and process governance models.
  • Identify process gaps, improvement opportunities, and automation options.
  • Support implementation of good procurement stewardship practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, AP, Planning, Logistics, and Technical teams to ensure seamless PTP integration.
  • Partner with ABAP, Basis, and middleware teams to define technical designs and integration requirements.
  • Participate in system conversions, migrations, and data load activities.

Required Skills & Experience
Core SAP Expertise

  • Minimum 8–12 years of SAP MM experience with deep knowledge of PTP processes.
  • Hands-on configuration experience in:
  • Purchase Requisitions & Purchase Orders
  • Product Catalog & Vendor Master
  • Material Master
  • Inventory Management
  • MRP
  • Foreign Trade / Customs
  • Logistics Invoice Verification
  • Valuation & Physical Inventory
  • Delegation of Authority (DOA) approvals
  • International trade transactions
  • Mandatory: Experience in SAP PTP implementations (full lifecycle).

Specialized Skills

  • OpenText VIM – configuration, troubleshooting, and workflow understanding.
  • Fiori – PTP-related apps, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) applications – experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting export, import, cross-border trade, and multi-country PTP scenarios.

Functional & Analytical Skills

  • Strong system analysis and solution architecture capabilities.
  • Ability to identify gaps, draft functional specs, and drive technical builds.
  • Strong testing, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams across time zones.

Other Requirements

  • Remote only – no onsite requirement.
  • Work schedule: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST to align with international teams.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for global project workshops or go-lives.
